RustyRAG Meet Copilot

An AI assistant for Google Meet that answers from your own documents

Someone on the call asks a question you cannot answer from memory. About a second later the answer is on your screen, in three short lines, taken from documents you have already uploaded. Nobody else on the call sees it.

Chrome 111 or newer. Works on Google Meet. Needs a RustyRAG account.

How it works

Three things happen
while you are still talking.

  1. 01

    Someone asks a question

The copilot listens to the other people on the call. It works out which sentences are real questions and ignores the rest.

  2. 02

    It searches your collection

The question goes to the RustyRAG API and runs against the documents you have already uploaded. Nothing is invented.

  3. 03

    You read three bullets

The answer lands in a panel inside the call, in about a second. Three short lines, with the file and page they came from.

Connectors

It answers from the documents
you already have.

Meet Copilot reads your RustyRAG collections. Upload files directly, or connect a source once and let it sync on its own. Anything in the collection can be quoted on a call the moment it lands.

  • Google Drive
  • OneDrive
  • SharePoint
  • Gmail
  • Outlook
  • GitHub
  • Direct upload

PDFs, Word files, slides, spreadsheets and scans. Pages are parsed with layout, so a table stays a table and a citation points at the page it came from.

What it does

What Meet Copilot does
and what it stays out of.

Cited to the file and the page

Every answer shows which document it came from and which page. If you need to check it, you know exactly where to look.

It keeps the answer you are reading

Most of what people say on a call is not a question. A plain statement will not wipe the answer off your screen halfway through reading it.

Web search stays off

By default it only answers from your own documents. Web search is one toggle in the panel, and it is off until you turn it on.

It hides when you share

Start sharing your screen or a window and the panel removes itself, so it never ends up in front of the people on the call.

One key press to hide it

Alt, Shift and H hide the panel and bring it back. You can also dock it as a side rail or a strip across the top.

Built on the same API

It uses the same RustyRAG collections as your app and your agents. Upload a document once and every surface can answer from it.

Privacy

It never listens to your microphone

Only the other people

The copilot captures the audio of the call tab, which is the people you are talking to. Your own microphone is never part of it.

Nothing is stored

Audio is turned into text so the question can be answered, then dropped. There is no recording and no saved transcript.

Only on Google Meet

The extension runs on meet.google.com and nowhere else. On every other site it does nothing at all.

Your documents only

Answers come from the collections in your own RustyRAG account. Web search is off unless you turn it on.

Full detail lives in our privacy policy.

Setup

What you need

  • A RustyRAG account with at least one collection of documents uploaded.
  • Chrome 111 or newer. The extension uses tab audio capture, which older versions do not have.
  • Your API key, pasted once. The extension checks it against the API and keeps it in local browser storage. Disconnect gives it back.
